Dunbar Inc. is currently executing a boiler replacement project for Bon Secours Mercy Health, which began in August 2024 and is scheduled for completion in January 2025. This $1 million project, engineered by Design Collaborative, involves the removal of one existing boiler and the installation of four new boilers, utilizing a time and materials (T&M) delivery method.

Throughout the project, we have encountered challenges related to existing site conditions, including the need to demolish outdated piping before installation could begin. Additionally, precise coordination with the hospital is required to manage steam shutdowns without disrupting critical operations. Dunbar Inc. is also responsible for equipment setting and pipe fabrication, ensuring seamless integration with the existing systems.

Despite these challenges, the project is progressing as planned, thanks to our team’s meticulous planning and communication with hospital staff. Dunbar Inc.’s ability to adapt to complex site conditions and coordinate with key stakeholders has been crucial in maintaining the project timeline and ensuring the continued operation of hospital facilities.
